I have no words to compare golf events when it comes to the LIV Golf Invitational in Chicago at Rich Harvest Farms from September 15-18, 2022. Having attended many golf events, from PGA Tournament stops to the Korn Ferry Tour, Champions Tour, and PGA Show, I went into this event with an open mind, eager to write an unbiased review for my Miss Kira P Golf Influencing Instagram.
Arrival and First Impressions
On Thursday, September 15th, I drove the hour-and-a-half journey from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, to Sugar Grove for the Pro-Am, closed to the public. I started the day early, brimming with anticipation. Listening to Chase Rice’s “Lions” on the way, I felt a rebellious excitement about the LIV Golf event.
Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the communication team at the Media Center. Their helpfulness and welcoming demeanor set the tone for the event. I headed to the driving range and the first tee, watching James Piot & Joaquin Niemann play alongside the owner of Rich Harvest Farms. Walking the course, I found myself unexpectedly alongside Phil Mickelson and Bernd Wiesberger by the 5th tee, coffee in hand.
Pro-Am and Player Interactions
The Pro-Am provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with players and other attendees. I struck up conversations with the scorekeepers and even shared a “For Wellness” brownie bite with one of them. Phil Mickelson noticed my coffee mug from his own company, leading to a friendly chat and an introduction to the CEO of For Wellness.
As the course stretched out before me, I marveled at its expanse and beauty. By the 12th tee, I realized how much walking lay ahead and hitched a ride to the 17th tee. Reflecting on the journey from Women’s Golf Day 2022 to this moment, I felt a deep appreciation for the growth and experiences that had brought me here.

The press conferences were refreshingly different from other golf events. David Puig, Joaquin Niemann, Anirban Lahiri, and Bryson DeChambeau shared their insights in a relaxed and engaging manner. The first official round was filled with memorable moments. Watching the Frog-X Navy Seal Parachute Team land was thrilling, and seeing the players’ interactions with fans added to the excitement. I positioned myself strategically to capture the action on the 18th hole, engaging with volunteers and fellow attendees.
Bryson DeChambeau’s birthday celebration, orchestrated by the “Country Club Adjacent” crew, was a fun and unexpected highlight. The camaraderie and lightheartedness of the event stood out, making it clear that LIV Golf offers a unique and enjoyable experience.
Day Two: Building Connections
Saturday began with an early start, ensuring I was well-prepared and hydrated. The driving range was bustling, and I enjoyed conversations with security personnel and fellow attendees. Seeing Greg Norman and Bubba Watson on the range, engaging with players and fans, underscored the inclusive and community-focused nature of LIV Golf.
The 18th hole continued to be a prime spot for watching the action. Conversations with volunteers and fans made the experience more enjoyable, and the moment of silence for Queen Elizabeth was a poignant reminder of the broader connections we share.
Final Day: Celebrations and Reflections
Sunday brought mixed emotions as the tournament drew to a close. The putting green was a hive of activity, and I enjoyed showing a fellow media member around. Watching the 4 Aces team practice, including Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed, was a personal highlight.
The final round was thrilling, with Cameron Smith, Peter Uihlein, and Dustin Johnson vying for the top spot. The energy was palpable, and the celebration on the 18th green was a fitting end to a fantastic event. The trophy ceremony in the Fan Village was a joyous occasion, with fans and media alike celebrating the achievements of the players.

Driving back to Lake Geneva, I reflected on how much my life had changed since becoming a golf influencer. The LIV Golf Invitational in Chicago was an unforgettable experience, filled with new friendships, memorable moments, and a renewed love for the game.
